Having come over to Nelson to visit a friend for the day, we found ourselves at a loss to find a chippy still open after lunchtime. Then we stumbled upon this little gem. We were greated warmly by the couple who now run it, and had a lovely chat whilst the food was cooking. They have clearly worked hard to establish a truly authentic chip shop, whose looks, character and menu take me back to my childhood. Some of the best fish & chips I've ever had - those chips are indeed special! Fresh, cooked to order, no corners cut & great value for money. When I'm next over, at least I know lunch is sorted!
